Today maybe starts the Tour. From here we will see different scenarios starting with 3 climbs in Stage 3.

Stage 3 is located in the beautiful Banks Peninsula Volcano area, an extinct volcanic complex to the east of Christchurch. The route will go up and down through the crests of the extinct volcano passing from untouched bays.

Technically we have the first classified climbs. It means that tonight we will have the first Black Jersey assigned.

Here the details of the climbs:

Climb 1 - from 1.27 km to 4.94 km –Tot 3.67 km at 10.4% - CATEGORY 2

Climb 2 -from 10.27km to 16.21km –Tot 5.94km at 8.2% - CATEGORY 2

Climb 3 -from 26.6km to 30km –Tot 3.4km at 8.9% - CATEGORY 3.

Points will be assigned in accordance with the time taken to complete each singular climb.

We have an uphill finish and we will see a hard fight to conquer the queen stage! This is the first of 4 very tough days and it is essential to think about the next days but at the same time it's time to measure the shape of the opponents after 2 strange days.
